After getting out to a slow start on Tuesday night against Whitehall, the Lions played hard down the stretch to come away with the win in the last seconds of the game, 55-54. The Lions trailed the entire game, but they scored with 2.6 seconds left to get the win.
Connor Swinehart had 21 points and 10 rebounds followed by Kade Bhuyan with 7 points. Cooper Heinzman and Jacob Polasek had several steals and hustle plays on the defensive end of the floor to help the Lions secure their last home court win of the 2018 season.
“We only led for 2.6 seconds of this game, but if I have to choose a time to be ahead, that would be the time. Our kids believe and that is sure fun to be around!” Coach Barrette.
The Lions will now get ready for the opening round of districts. They will travel to Tri-County to play Grant at 7:30pm on March 5th.
