With Jarred On The Mound, Newaygo Lions Shuts Out Tr iCounty

Jarred Heideman shut down Tri County Area, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Newaygo Lions Varsity to a 2-0 victory on Tuesday

The pitching was strong on both sides. Heideman struck out six, while Blake sat down two.

Newaygo Lions Varsity opened up scoring in the first inning. Andrew Goodin drove in one when he singled.

One bright spot for Tri County Area was a single by Nagy in the fifth inning.

Heideman pitched Newaygo Lions Varsity to victory. He surrendered zero runs on two hits over seven innings, striking out six and walking zero.

Blake took the loss for Tri County Area. He surrendered two runs on seven hits over seven innings, striking out two.

Newaygo Lions Varsity racked up seven hits. Goodin and Jacob Polasek all managed multiple hits for Newaygo Lions VarsityPolasek and Goodin each collected two hits to lead Newaygo Lions Varsity.

Newaygo Lions Clinches Lead In Sixth Inning To Defeat Tri County

Newaygo Lions Varsity snatched the lead late in the game in a 4-1 victory over Tri County Area on Tuesday. The game was tied at one with Newaygo Lions Varsity batting in the top of the sixth when Jacob Polasek doubled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.

In the top of the fifth inning, Newaygo Lions Varsity tied things up at one on a wild pitch. Conner Swinehart was the winning pitcher for Newaygo Lions Varsity. He lasted six innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out four and walking one. Jarrod Heideman threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Hallman started the game for Tri County Area. He surrendered four runs on 11 hits over six and two-thirds innings, striking out five

The Lions tallied 11 hits. Andrew GoodinCooper HeinzemanPolasek, and Noah Cantu all collected multiple hits for the Lions. Goodin went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Newaygo in hits.
