Lions News · Girls Track Sets 5 PR’s in Bulldog Relays

The Newaygo Girls’ Track team took 3rd place (out of 9 teams yesterday at the Ravenna Bulldog Invite.  The following girls earned medals for the team:

Daisy Hagen got 2nd place in the Shot Put (30’8″) (PR)
Kendall Mathis got 2nd place in Long Jump (14’1″) (PR)
Samantha Dosch, Haleigh Schmitt, Elie Nausadis, Sophia Frisbie got 2nd place in the 4X800m Relay (11:13) (PR).
Anna Erhardt got 3rd place in Discus (83-05) (PR)
Elie Nausadis got 3rd place in the 3200m Run ( 13:03) (SR)
Sarah Behnke, Nakia Rake, Daisy Hagen, Kendall Mathis 4x100m Relay (56.9) (PR)
“I was really happy with the performances last night.  We had a good week to practice and train and it really showed yesterday.  This was our best overall performance as a team for the year.”  “We got a big week coming up next week with Regionals and our Conference Meet so we are hoping to be peaking at the right time,” Coach Thomasma.
The Lions will travel to Grant on Monday for the CSAA conference meet, and Kent City on Friday for the regional meet.
