Girls Basketball Honored with All-State Academic Honors

The Lady Lions Basketball team was recently honored with Academic All State honors for the 2017-2018 season. The Lions finished 2nd in the state overall with a team GPA of 3.917 behind Boyne City who had a 3.932. Winter All-Conference Athletes Announced

After finishing up the winter athletics season, Newaygo had three First Team All-Conference athletes, and two honorable mention All-Conference athletes. Connor Swinehart, Jaylee Long, and Makiah Mccracken highlighted the first team honors while Mitch Karrip and Madison Bush were honored with honorable mention. Makiah Mccracken was the lone wrestler from Newaygo on the All-Conference team.
